Common prepreodic points and its application

Abstract: In this talk, we briefly introduce preperiodic points in dynamics, and then talk about the upper bound for the number of common preperiodic points of two quadratic polynomials and Lattes maps. As an application, we use this to bound the number of torison points for a family of genus two curves. This is a joint work with L. DeMarco and H. Krieger.
